$11 for a matcha is ridiculous. It tasted like straight milk, and even though I ordered an extra scoop of matcha, it still tasted horrible. The guy was also super rude and pressured me to order. If you’re going to work, at least do your job properly. Horrible service and definitely not worth $11.

I went here on a whim, and I ended up enjoying my experience here very much :) The man who took my order was very kind and thoroughly explained the options on the menu, which is much appreciated, as I am a noob to coffee/matchas/etc. I had the raspberry Danish matcha with a splash of lavender, and I found that it was very high quality and authentic! It wasn't too overpowering or sweet, the raspberry flavor was fresh and the lavender was very fragrant. I also had a cheese Danish, which had a pretty nice flaky crispy texture, but I would have preferred it to be sweeter. Overall, the customer service and matcha drink was excellent! I highly recommend any first-timer or beginner to go here and try out more complex beverages for themselves, since the staff is well equipped to walk them through it all :]

As someone who hopes to own a coffee shop one day, I always make it a point to support new local coffee shops whenever I can. I recently visited Mug Espresso Bar with a friend, and we had such a great experience! We started with matchas and later decided to grab banana bread iced lattes to go as well. Both the matchas and lattes were absolutely delicious, definitely a 10/10! You can tell a lot of care goes into the drinks. The shop itself was beautiful, very clean, and had such a welcoming atmosphere. The music was a vibe, and I loved the seating layout. It felt like everyone had their own little cozy space while still enjoying the café environment. One of my favorite parts was seeing so many people coming in to support a local small business. It genuinely made me happy to see the community showing love to a new coffee shop. I’ll definitely be coming back soon and can’t wait to try more from the menu. Wishing Mug Espresso Bar continued success! ☕️✨😊
